How quickly we forget...unless "it" happens to us. Many on the east coast are still reeling in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, including my relatives in Jersey. Here's Diane and Jerry Kehn's story as it appeared in the Dec. 27, 2012 Fort Collins Coloradoan:
I don't know about you, but every single day since 9/11, I thank God for my brand of normal, even if others might find it/me boooring. Here's to an uneventful New Year! And thank you for your continuing support.

Widening Our Circle with Gratitude
What is it about the universality of circles that inspires a thankfulness that goes beyond the globe we inhabit? Click on the 3:21 link below to hear about two Wellington, CO families united in tragedy, as featured in my Nov. 22, 2012 column in the Fort Collins Coloradoan:
Among the many things for which I am grateful is your continuing support.
"Happy Thanksgiving!"

It's not just what you say; it's how you say it
American philosopher John Dewey said democracy begins in conversation. Seems, though, many of us have forgotten how to listen. Please click on the link below to hear more from my Oct. 25, 2012 column in "The Fort Collins Coloradoan."
I, too, struggle often with staying present while politicos talk - sometimes I swear just to hear themselves talk. Still, it's the right thing to do (even if they're too far right for me). Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you at the polls next month!

Smile, you're on speed camera!
This was not what I wanted to write about camera radar, but after speaking candidly with one of its Fort Collins peace officer-operators, well, this is what I discovered needed to be said. Click on the link below to hear the details as they appeared in the September 27, 2012 Coloradoan:
Original television prankster Allen Funt was so ahead of his time, wasn't he? And I'm just working harder to be on time! Thanks for taking your time to listen.

CSU: Connections Sustain Us
On game days, me and mine look like we're celebrating Christmas early since we bleed Husker Red and Ram Green. The past dozen years have really, really tested Nebraska football fans. But Memorial Stadium continues to sellout as it has every year since 1962. I'm proud to be part of the Big Red Nation, and I will always love NU no matter what, win or lose. Same goes for Colorado State University, where some are starting to get that "it" starts, not with a building, but by building school spirit. Click on the following link to hear what I wrote on the subject in the August 23, 2012 Fort Collins Coloradoan newspaper:
I love Hughes Stadium. But it's the Rams I really love. Unconditionally. Cross my red and green heart, and hope for the gift of injury-free seasons for both teams.
Are you ready for some college football?

Colonoscopy is minor compared to colon cancer
Those who think their excrement isn't aromatic are often the same ones who - equally foolishly - believe they could never get colon cancer. The only way to know for sure is to get thyself tested, as I recently did and wrote about for my monthly column in "The Coloradoan." Click on the 3:24 link below to hear all about it:
Check with your insurance company to see if your procedure is covered. Man (and woman), it is so great to just get it over with and put it, ahem, behind you! Thanks for listening in! Till next time...

Professional Audio Demos, y'knows?
For your listening pleasure and (hopefully) my professional profit, here are some examples of my voiceover work:
#1 is a variety of commercial cuts; tasty, if I do say so myself!
#2 is a do-not-miss character reel of some pretty funny stuff. Hey, after doing this kind of work all my adult life, I am quite the character!
Let's talk "for real" now about your voiceover project. Call 970.568.0588 or email me at radermross@msn.com. I'm also available for writing and speaking gigs. Listen, I appreciate your time! You revisit often now, y'hear? Tell your colleagues, too, huh?
